Come Sit With Me on Promise Hill

Over the past 22 years as a mental health professional and Christian counselor, I’ve had the sacred privilege of sitting with people in some of the most tender, vulnerable, and life-altering moments of their journey. I’ve listened to whispered confessions, tearful prayers, and the silence of souls too tired to speak.

And in all those years, there’s one truth I return to again and again: we all long to be seen, known, and reminded that we are not alone.

That longing is what gave birth to Promise Hill.

This podcast is more than a project—it’s a calling. It’s a place where I invite you to come as you are, with all of your questions, your weariness, your faith (even if it’s hanging on by a thread), and simply sit for a while.

Promise Hill is a space I’ve created for you to pause and receive—not to perform, not to prove anything, but to rest in the presence of the God who always keeps His promises.

In my years of being a counselor (and in my personal counseling experiences), I’ve seen what happens when a heart finally feels safe. It opens. It exhales. It begins to believe healing is possible. And that’s exactly what I want Promise Hill to be—a safe, sacred space where your soul can breathe.

Each episode is filled with encouragement drawn from an unfolding fictonal story and the seasoning of Scripture. These aren’t quick fixes or surface-level pep talks (well, there is a bit of that, too, since we can use some of that). These are quiet conversations meant to meet you in the deep places. I speak from a place of experience—both professionally and personally—and every word is offered with love, truth, and tenderness.

You might be navigating grief. You might be struggling in your marriage. You might be carrying the weight of anxiety, or walking through a season of burnout, heart-ache, disillusionment, or transition.

Or maybe, you’re just longing to feel close to God again.

Whatever you’re facing, I want you to know this: there is room for you on Promise Hill.

Why the name Promise Hill?

Because I believe God’s promises stand higher than our circumstances. They don’t sink when our emotions do. They don’t fade when life gets dark. Like a hill in the distance, they give us something to look toward—something steady and sure when everything else feels shaky.

Mind you, I am new to this medium. Story-telling, sound effects, and working with AI voices are a new world for me. Each episode takes about 25 -30 hours to make. So be gentle as you listen. Each episode builds on the last. And since the story unfolds I encourage you to start from episode 1.

This is an invitation—not just to listen, but to encounter the gentle presence of a God who sees you. Who delights in you. Who still speaks, still heals, and still redeems.

So if your heart is weary, if your hope is thin, or if you simply need to hear a word of encouragement that feels personal and real—come join me. Sit with me for a while. Let’s climb Promise Hill together, one step, one episode, one breath at a time.

Because you are worth showing up for. You are deeply loved. And you are never, ever alone.
